Congratulations to us - Dawn and I, that is! We met 10 years ago yesterday, through unusual circumstances right outside of a pub in downtown Wapakoneta. At the time, it was called the Koneta Inn. Now, it’s one of those ’schmancy’ meal assembly places. No matter - the memory lives on in our hearts.
We decided to celebrate the evening by spending time bowling with her brother and sister. Since the alley was taken up by leagues (and apparently a new high school team), we were left with one other choice - the Alpha Bar. Dawn had never in her ** years had ever experienced the Alpha.
I was fascinated to learn that the Alpha has a tradition of serving up “Tom & Jerry’s” right around the holidays. I’m not certain of everything in a T&J, but I tasted coffee, cinnamon, marshmallow, and whiskey. Anything else is a mystery. It was delicious!
