I had taken Google for granted for years now, but recently business school has me going Google crazy. I’ve been fascinated with their innovations – both business/organizational and the services provided. My latest ‘kick’ has been tooling around Street View on Google Maps.
Amazingly, I pulled into Starbucks on Kirkman this morning, only to see a small car with some crazy rig on top and California plates. The magnet ‘sticker’ on the back of the trunk said “Google Maps”. I had a semi-rock star sighting! I talked to the driver for a few minutes and thanked him for the service. He seemed to enjoy his job. “We’re pretty much done with Orlando, now I’m headed to Ocala”
Sweet…
I kind of wondered what the Street View of the Googleplex itself looked like, so I went to Google Maps, typed in: googleplex, mountainview, ca. It took me right to their building.
I did Street View, but nothing too spectacular…until I dragged the little guy to the opposite side of the block on
Charleston.
This is what I saw:
Must be a fun place to work!
